Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS)

RoHS - EU Directive:

2002/95/EC: restriction on the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical or electronic equipment sold or used in the European Union after July 1, 2006. These substances are:

  • lead
  • mercury
  • cadmium
  • hexavalent chromium
  • polybrominated biphenyls
  • and polybrominated diphenyl ethers.

Typical Substance Threshold Levels:

  • Lead:  1000ppm
  • Mercury: 1000ppm
  • PBB: 1000ppm
  • PBDE: 1000ppm
  • Hex. Chromium: 1000ppm
  • Cadmium: 1000ppm
